Meet Gunnar!

Gunnar is FUN FUN FUN! He is a 10 month old Siberian Husky mix who has never met a stranger. He weighs 48 pounds and is pretty much full grown. He is playful and friendly with everyone- he loves kids, other dogs, and playing all day!! However, he does love to chase cats.

He loves to go on car rides and get pup cups and to snuggle up on the couch to watch TV. Or to take a nap in bed with you. He is a high energy boy though! He would make an amazing hiking companion.

Gunnar is crate trained and house trained. He is a rambunctious boy and he does need some manners around little kids- he has no idea how much he weighs and will jump right into you. For an adult, this is manageable. For a little kid, he will knock them over. Gunnar would do best with an owner who is use to training and setting boundaries with a puppy and kids who are not going to be afraid of a puppy who is learning how to be a respectful family member.

He is WONDERFUL and is a volunteer favorite at adoptions. He knows "sit and is working on "down. Gunnar is super smart and just needs someone to spend time with him. He loves to cuddle and to spend time with people. He is AWESOME with other dogs and has lots of four legged friends and he makes new friends everywhere he goes!

Our Applications Team will review and approve applications.

Sign Adoption Contract

Once approved and you agree the pet is right for you, sign the contract, pay the adoption fee and take your new family member home!

The Fayette County Humane Society (FCHS), staffed entirely by volunteers, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supported entirely by individual and corporate donations. Because we do not have a shelter, all of the animals we rescue live in temporary foster homes until they are adopted. We believe that all companion pets have intrinsic value and should be treated with the reverence and care they deserve.
