Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Moose is an incredibly sweet boy who is about 7.5 years old (born 8/27/2016) with beautiful celery green eyes. His name is quite fitting for him because he weighs in at 24.4 pounds. His new family will serve an important role in helping him lose weight with a diet and exercise plan. Fortunately his weight has not caused any medical issues for him and he had recent bloodwork that came back in normal limits which is great news. He also had a recent dental cleaning so he will go to his new home with sparkling clean teeth.
Moose has lived with other cats and dogs and does well with both as long as they have good temperaments. With other cats, he tends to be the one grooming and playing with them. While he hasn’t lived with children before, he may do just fine as long as the child understands cat boundaries and is gentle with him.
Moose loves being in the same room as his person and his greatest desire is to just be petted and snuggled. He is very affectionate and he will give you head boops and rub against your legs. If you are retired or work from home, he will gladly join you in your activities of the day even if that means just taking a cat nap with you nearby. He also will enjoy snuggling in bed with you at night if you allow him. He can be a big talker especially around meal times. While he is very loving with his family, he will most likely hide when visitors arrive until he gets to know them.
When Moose is in a playful mood, he particularly likes little stuffed toys that he can toss around and chase and he enjoys a laser pointer but he isn’t a fan of toys that move on their own such as those floppy fish. He isn’t a huge fan of being brushed but because his coat is quite thick, he will benefit from regular brushing. He knows his name and comes when you call him and his favorite word is “dinner” – he knows exactly what that means and gets excited when he hears it.
Can you provide a new forever home for this loving, gentle giant and help him with his diet and exercise plan?
