My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Rio and I'm at the Santa Barbara Campus. I'm a 7 month old male Shepherd mix who is eager for a new home! I am a big goofy playful boy who would love to go into an active home. I am still learning some manners and would benefit from some training classes. My friends say I walk well on a leash but can be jumpy, which we are working on. I was in a home with a toddler and did ok, I just forgot how big and goofy I was sometimes. I am really a fun loving good boy who wants to go on walks, hikes....basically any type of activity.

Interested in meeting me? Adoption Centers are open daily 12-4:30pm, closed Wednesdays. Adoptions are on a first-come first served basis. For more information please email Adopt@SBHumane.org or call 805-964-4777.

When I am adopted, I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adopters will receive a certificate for a free veterinary exam and our partners at Purina will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home.
