Imagine coming home to a wagging tail so enthusiastic, you can hear the thump-thump-thump from miles away! But here's the real cuteness overload - Hazel has a unique way of asking for pets. She'll sit down and put her front paws up in the air, a sight so adorable it'll melt even the toughest hearts!
Hazel's zest for life shines through in her love for outdoor escapades, whether it's going for a run, some leisurely walks, or playing in the yard or the dog park. This brilliant beauty also boasts an impressive 19-word (and counting!) vocabulary and excels at puzzles, making every day a delightful learning adventure.
Hazel is looking for a home that is calm, structured, and in a quiet neighborhood. She thrives on routine and would love a home where someone can be around often. Her journey hasn't always been easy, and she still gets a bit nervous in new situations. While this means she's not suited for households with young children, Hazel is a great companion for adults seeking a loyal, loving friend.
If you're looking for a faithful friend ready to grow, learn, and create unforgettable memories with, Hazel may be your girl! Apply today to meet this lovely pup and experience the joy of Hazel's companionship firsthand.

City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model).
Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us.
Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP,Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis.
Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
