Like a glass of the finest Tennessee whiskey, Whiskey is rich in warmth, full of soul, and sure to make your heart sing. This handsome tabby has been waiting far too long for a home to call his own, and just like a slow-burning melody, he only gets better with time.
Once facing the harsh reality of a high-kill shelter, Whiskey has been given a second chance—and now he’s ready to give his heart to someone who will cherish him forever. He’s a laid-back, full-figured gentleman who prefers the simple pleasures in life: a cozy couch, a loving hand to scratch behind his ears, and a place to stretch out and relax near his person.
Whiskey gets along just fine with calm dogs, other easygoing cats, and even respectful kids, but his true love will always be his human. If you’re looking for a steadfast companion to warm your soul and fill your home with love, this big-hearted boy is ready to be yours.

All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.
ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location.
Petfinder lists our pets as "Out of Town" pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. More about this rescue
We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.
Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.
