MEET ROCKY #15!!

Rocky is a typical heeler--loyal, smart, alert and wary of strangers. He needs to be challenged because he becomes bored easily. Bored heelers tend to get into mischief which is true for Rocky as well. Dogs like Rocky do best when they have a job to keep him mentally and physically fit. He needs an active lifestyle to keep him happy and healthy.

Rocky's owner sadly passed away. He is house trained and doggy door trained. He may be hesitant of new people at first, but once he gets to know and trust you, he is your best friend. He does fine with older, calm children, but he gets stressed around small children. Are you an active person looking for an always willing partner to keep you going? Then, Rocky is meant for you.

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters will be required to complete our Adoption Application, read and sign our Adopting Policies and Procedures, and participate in a home visit by one of our adoption representatives. Our Adoption Application is located on our website: www.underdogaz.com.

We also have a mandatory two-week Foster With Intent to Adopt trial period for all animals in order to be certain the pet is a good fit for your family.

Our standard adoption fee for dogs is $200; puppies are $250.

Non-standard fees do sometimes apply. Puppies younger than six months may have a higher fee. Designer dogs, purebreds, and other toy type breeds may also have higher adoption fees than the standard $200.

We do, however, have discounted fees for dogs that are seniors, a pair of dogs adopted together, or cats. If you are a veteran or an active duty service member, please ask about our partnership with Pets For Patriots.

All Underdog pets are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped prior to adoption.

We are a 501c3 non profit, your donations save lives and are 100% tax deductible.

More about this rescue

Underdog Rescue of Az is an all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescuing and re-homing of abandoned and/or abused dogs.

We are a foster-based rescue, and do not maintain a physical base of operations. All of our animals are placed with loving, caring safe foster families until they are adopted. We are also an "All Breed" rescue, and do not discriminate based on breed, age, size, etc.

Underdog's mission also includes educating the public on the issue of animal welfare. We strive to promote shelter reform, spay and neuter education and emergency rescue information & assistance.
