My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! I'm Cheddar, a handsome senior orange tabby with a heart full of love and a confident personality to match. I'm friendly and outgoing, and one of my favorite things in the world is sitting on laps and soaking up all the affection I can get.

I do have a condition called hyperesthesia, which makes me extra sensitive to touch. Sometimes, certain areas might feel a bit more intense for me, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying gentle pets and lots of snuggles. I just need a little extra understanding and care, and I promise I'll be the best lap cat you've ever met.

I'm looking for a forever home where I can spend my golden years being loved and cared for. I thrive on human companionship and can't wait to find someone who appreciates my unique personality and sweet nature.

If you're looking for a friendly, confident, and loving companion who will bring joy and warmth to your home, I'm your guy. Come meet me, and let's see if we're the perfect match. I'm ready to fill your life with purrs and cuddles. Will you be the one to give me my forever home?

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Fees vary with special adoption events, but our standard adoption fee for an individual adult cat, between the ages of 6 months to 7 years, is $75. An adoption interest form/application and contract must be filled out by all adopters.
No adoptions are approved without visiting the shelter in person. Interest or application for adoption is not a guarantee. Volunteers attempt to match cats with an appropriate home setting/family, and adoptions are not first come, first serve.

During the Covid-19 outbreak, almost all of our adoptable animals are in foster homes. In most cases it is not possible to visit cats in the shelter.
