Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Truman is a Red Bone Lab mixed breed, whose estimated DOB is 8/26/2019, and on 10/11/2024 he weighed 50 pounds. He is underweight right now, and we are addressing this, and he has started gaining weight recently. Truman is a charming and handsome guy with a beautiful red coat that is soft to the touch. He is a friendly and affectionate dog who loves nothing more than spending time with his humans. Truman is also a smart dog who knows a few tricks! He knos come, sit, down and stay. Though sometimes a little shy when meeting new people and dogs, he warms up quickly. He will be an affectionate and loyal companion, so come meet Truman today! He is eagerly waiting for his forever home.
Our adoption fee is $125 for small breed dogs under 20 pounds and $100 for all other dogs and cats unless otherwise noted in their bio. Every pet available for adoption is current on shots spayed/neutered, and microchipped. You may submit an application online for pre-approval and to set an appointment or you can visit the shelter Wednesday - Sunday from 11am - 5pm. Please note that the kennels close for pet viewing at 4:30pm.

More about this shelter
The mission of the Humane Society of Pulaski County is to rescue, care for and find homes for abandoned, abused, homeless and unwanted animals; to reduce suffering of animals; and to reduce the number of homeless animals through adoption, spay/neuter, and through education.
The Humane Society of Pulaski County provides access to low-cost, healthy, inoculated, sterilized animals to people seeking to adopt animals as pets only. Adopters are screened to see if they can provide the basics of care for the animals, proper housing, and continued veterinary maintenance; and have no history of animal abuse or irresponsible ownership.
The Humane Society is a private no-kill shelter, supported solely by donations, fund-raisers, bequests and grants. We receive no city, county or state funding, nor are we affiliated with any other organization. We have been rescuing animals since 1946, and have been in our present building since 2000.
