Personality: loyal, affectionate, snuggler, playful, smart, energetic, outgoing, adventurous, trustworthy, adaptable, independent, goofy/funny, easygoing, and brave.
Princess Mulan is just as brave and adventurous as her Disney namesake! She loves the outdoors, whether it's watching the wildlife go by on a camping trip or exploring different trails - she'll even brave the rain. When she's not adventuring, this lovebug is glued to your side, and will crawl into your lap for couch snuggles and kisses.
Mulan is a social butterfly with other dogs, animals, and humans of all sizes, greeting them with a polite sniff and a waggy tail. Mulan has done well with her initial interactions with the cats in her foster homes. She loves other dogs off leash, but can get frustrated when her leash holds her back from saying hello. She's never met a human she doesn't like, though sometimes her excitement can be a bit much for smaller people.
Mulan is house trained and does pretty well in the crate as long as she's had enough exercise. Her current foster home trusts her to roam the house solo. This quick study knows the words "sit", "lay", "shake, "stay, and "all done / "no more. She's also learning "leave it" and "off". She loves using her brain during playtime outside or with toys and food puzzles.

City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model).
Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us.
Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP,Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis.
Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
