Nike is a 50-pound, seven-month-old, happy, fun, snuggly and playful male Bulldog/Terrier-mix puppy looking for a loving guardian.
Nike is such a good-natured dog and has no idea that he’s differently-abled. His legs are extremely bowed with a front limb deformity. That doesn’t stop him from chasing balls and rough-housing with dog friends. Because he can injure himself on concrete, he is best playing in a soft grassy yard. His walks on sidewalks have so far been limited.
This guy is as sweet as they come. He just loves people of all ages, and other dogs. We think he’ll be about 60 pounds full-grown.
He is looking for a very special family who will take him into their heart and home. He is smart, loving and very eager to please. He might enjoy cats, more than they enjoy him.
Nike is housebroken when taken out regularly, crate-trained, and learning his commands. He is very food focused and just loves belly rubs.
He’s currently doing physical therapy and massage in Chicago. He is not a candidate for surgery. But, he may at times wear booties and braces to protect and guide his legs into the right position.
Nike is otherwise very healthy, vaccinated for rabies, distemper and bordetella, microchipped, fecal-tested and de-wormed. He will be neutered in the near future.
His adoption fee of $500 benefits K9EI RESCUE. To meet and possibly adopt Nike, please fill out an adoption application at https://k9ei.dog/foster-adopt/ and follow up to meet him by e-mailing info@k9ei.dog
