Cabbage is a uniquely patterned cat with a sweet disposition. He can be a timid fellow who does allow pets if you approach slowly. Some of his favorite things are cat trees and pillows. Cabbage spends most of his day hanging out with his friends Spunky and Nubbins as part of the Top Shelf Crew and they have their own social media pages dedicated to them: @topshelfcrewatkittenrescue.It would be nice if the top shelf crew could be adopted together but they are all socially challenged so it is a long shot. Cabbage would probably do best with a friend as he is shy and needs the support of a cat friend. However Cabbage can come out of his shell and would do best in a calm home where he would get the special attention and care he needs. We adopt animals to homes in the Los Angeles area and neighboring counties.
Our cat adoption questionnaire https://kittenrescue.org/adopt/cat-adoption-form/ is first step of our adoption process, which also includes a home visit, the signing of an adoption contract, and payment of our adoption fee.
Adoption Fees
$150 for a kitten or cat up to 10 years old, or $250 if you adopt a pair.
Cats above 10 years old have a fee reduction of 50%, for an adoption fee of $75 each.
Our dog adoption fee depends on the dog breed and age.

Many of our kitties live in foster homes and can be visited at one of our four weekly adoption events or by arranging directly with the foster.

More about this rescue

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
