My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Honey is a quiet, gentle soul who's ready to bring her sweetness into a forever home. Rescued from an unsafe area along with her sister Macky, Honey has blossomed into a calm lap cat with a heart full of love. Although young, she carries what we lovingly call "grandma energy-mature but still playful, especially when her sister Macky is around.

Honey's favorite hobbies include birdwatching (and adding her own chirpy commentary) and lounging close by, hoping for some affectionate petting. She's also perfectly happy being carried on your shoulder, making her the perfect companion for anyone looking for a gentle, loving cat to snuggle with. Her bond with Macky is heartwarming, as they love grooming each other and sharing quiet moments together.

Honey's adoption dream is a forever family where she can bring her sweet, calming presence-and she'd love if her sister Macky could join too.

More about this rescue

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
