My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Francesca is a lovely lady with a lively personality. She had a home once but when her owner passed away she ended up on the streets for many years. Now she is very happy to be back inside! Francesca is very loving and vocal she likes to chirp and meow while playing with her toys. She loves playtime with her person but also can amuse herself with cat toys or by rolling around in a cardboard box or on a towel her two favorite things. Francesca would do great in a home with older children a couple or a single person. She gets along well with other adult cats who will mind her space and not overwhelm her. She is carrying a little extra weight (her vet calls her roly-poly) and will need a little attention paid to what she's eating but is otherwise very healthy. She loves to be pet and gives clear signs when she's becoming overstimulated. She will make a fantastic companion for many years to come! Videos of Francesca are available on TikTok @kittens.winamp

We adopt animals to homes in the Los Angeles area and neighboring counties.
Our cat adoption questionnaire https://kittenrescue.org/adopt/cat-adoption-form/ is first step of our adoption process, which also includes a home visit, the signing of an adoption contract, and payment of our adoption fee.
Adoption Fees
$150 for a kitten or cat up to 10 years old, or $250 if you adopt a pair.
Cats above 10 years old have a fee reduction of 50%, for an adoption fee of $75 each.
Our dog adoption fee depends on the dog breed and age.

Many of our kitties live in foster homes and can be visited at one of our four weekly adoption events or by arranging directly with the foster.

More about this rescue

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
