Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Missy was rescued when one of our dedicated volunteers spotted her in a Facebook post made by a colony feeder in South Gate. Missy then went to her rescuer's home and has now been transferred to our FeLV Suite at the Kitten Rescue Sanctuary as she tested positive for feline leukemia. Missy is shy and very sweet. She takes some time to warm up to you and likes to sit back and watch the action. She is also playful and easygoing with other cats so she could be in a home with another relaxed FeLV positive cat like herself. She enjoys being scratched under her chin and will contort her body in response.The adopter should be loving and patient. Missy is really a beauty and will continue to blossom! She likes treats and playtime and is one of the stars in our FeLV Suite which you can watch on explore.org 24/7!

She must not live with non-FELV cats.

We adopt animals to homes in the Los Angeles area and neighboring counties.
Our cat adoption questionnaire https://kittenrescue.org/adopt/cat-adoption-form/ is first step of our adoption process, which also includes a home visit, the signing of an adoption contract, and payment of our adoption fee.
Adoption Fees
$150 for a kitten or cat up to 10 years old, or $250 if you adopt a pair.
Cats above 10 years old have a fee reduction of 50%, for an adoption fee of $75 each.
Our dog adoption fee depends on the dog breed and age.

Many of our kitties live in foster homes and can be visited at one of our four weekly adoption events or by arranging directly with the foster.

More about this rescue

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
