My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

With her little head and big personality Christy is like an Anime character come to life captivating everyone she meets with her friendly demeanor and unique charm. Christy's journey sadly began when she was dumped in a bag next to a trash can. She's had a couple of hard knocks since then after her first adopters returned her to Kitten Rescue. It happens but Kitten Rescue always welcomes our cats back with open arms. Despite her past experiences Christy is unaffected. She is a sweetheart who adores human company and craves attention. And Christy now seeks the comfort of a forever home; for real this time. While Christy prefers to be the only cat in her domain she promises to fill your home with more than enough affection to go around. She's not shy about asking for attention either. So if you're ready to open your heart to a cat whose adorable appearance may sometimes remind you of a dinosaur from a far-off time but is as gentle as a summer breeze Christy is eagerly waiting to become a cherished member of your family. Come meet this delightful creature and witness firsthand the magic she brings into every moment.

More about this rescue

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
