My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mezzelune is a wonderfully sweet personality with a very balanced demeanor. On one hand she is comfortable in her independence at some times of day doing just fine on her own or with her kitty friends. On the other she will approach when you're sitting to snuggle up and sit with you for pets. She is gentle in approach with people and animals but also knows how to stand up for herself and her personal space when needed. Mezzelune is enjoyable and amusing, a sweet little kitty who will blossom into a lifelong friend.

Mezzelune is a medium energy kitten who meets others in the room at their level. She makes friends easily and loves to have fun. She will sometimes need engagement with a wand toy to relax and get ready for pets and snuggles. Mezzelune has been raised on a very healthy grain-free wet food diet and is fully box-trained. Due to her age and activity level she will need to be adopted with a buddy or to a home with an active companion animal. She has many friends at Tail Town, her brother is Carbon.

Meet Mezzelune at Tail Town during their business hours, Friday - Sunday, 11am - 5pm.

More about this rescue

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
