My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Characteristics: Loki is an amazing, especially sweet, very friendly, affectionate cat in the prime of life. He walks up to strangers. He is curious yet calm, and very smart. Anyone lucky enough to make Loki part of his or her family will be blessed with a loving and devoted companion. To Loki, there is nothing better than following me from room to room. He likes to watch TV with me especially if it's a nature program with animals. He is fond of looking outside the window and watching anything that moves. He is also quick to play with string toys, sit on my lap, lay down on my upper legs, purr when I pet him, leap in the air to chase toy mice, stretch, and sleep near his family (in his bed that needs to be on my bed.) Occasionally, Loki will even engage me in a good conversation, especially when it's time to eat or get a treat. He is very food-motivated, not a fussy eater, and easily trained. He always uses the litter box and the scratching post, every time.

Appearance: Loki has beautiful markings. He's a light ginger with pale orange and white stripes. His coat is soft and he's very good at grooming himself. And then, there are his eyes -- his expressive, green eyes. They are gorgeous and shine with all the great warmth and love Loki has to give.

His story: He was picked up as a stray. Luckily, somebody recognized how friendly he was and KR rescued him from the city shelter. He went to a KR foster but the foster mom's resident cat began picking on him something awful so he moved to me, and he's happy being the only cat here.

It is time to give Loki a wonderful forever home he so richly deserves. That home might include another cat, would not include a dog, and might include kids. The BEST scenario for Loki would be to be the only pet in the family, and the center of your attention.

Loki needs a forever home. How about opening your home and heart to this handsome cat? Contact his foster mom at getorganizedgetrich@juno.com

More about this rescue

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
