My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Amber the vibrant feline firecracker! This spirited cat is an acrobat extraordinaire effortlessly leaping from one corner of the room to the other in pursuit of excitement. Her passion for play knows no bounds as she eagerly chases mice toys and gleaming puffs with relentless energy. But don't let her boundless energy fool you - Amber also possesses a sweet and affectionate side. She adores being the center of attention pushing through her siblings to bask in pets and love. The moment you cradle her for kisses and scratches she melts into a symphony of purrs expressing her gratitude for your affection. Amber is a curious soul keenly interested in every activity around her often punctuating the air with the cutest trills and meows. Yet amidst her active pursuits she finds solace in the company of her kitty family curling up for cozy naps together. And if you're lucky enough to have Amber by your side she'll eagerly snuggle up to you sharing in the bliss of peaceful slumber. With her boundless energy and affectionate nature Amber is truly a delightful addition to any loving home. For more pictures and videos visit @thebackyardkittens_ on IG

More about this rescue

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
