My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Zenni, a spirited one-year-old Australian Shepherd mix who embodies the quintessential herding dog spirit. Named for her keen intellect and boundless energy, Zenni thrives on mental stimulation and active engagement. Whether she's at work or play, her brain is always switched on. In her journey with her foster family and the compassionate team at CCAS, Zenni has made great strides. She's learning to embrace her walking routines with grace and is becoming more composed on leash-a testament to her adaptability and willingness to learn. Zenni is searching for a special adoptive home where her potential can continue to blossom. This includes ongoing foundational obedience training and guidance to manage her natural herding instincts, which may manifest in daily home life. Due to her breed tendencies, she's best suited to a household without small animals or young children. Zenni's intelligence and high energy are matched only by her affectionate and sensitive nature, making her an incredibly loyal companion. With continued socialization and devoted owners who understand her needs, Zenni is poised to flourish into the ideal canine companion-a bright, agile, and devoted friend for life. Please note Zenni is currently residing in a foster home. If interested in learning more about Zenni or scheduling a meet and greet, please email the foster team at foster@cuyahogacounty.us today.

Before you can spend time with a dog, there is a brief questionnaire that you will need to fill out. Our staff will review these questions with you in order to help you decide which dog is the right fit for you, your family, and your lifestyle. This information is confidential and will be used only to assist our staff in determining the best possible placement. Please spend the time necessary to make the best possible decision for you AND the dog you may adopt.
