DRAX

BASICS: Cane Corso / male / July 28, 2023

CHILDREN: Yes, older than 8; kids should have previous experience/training with giant dogs

CATS: Unknown

DOGS: Female dogs possibly, with slow introduction and supervision

PERSONALITY: Medium-high puppy energy level; Extremely curious, sweet and affectionate; Enjoys playing with toys, sunbathing, and hanging out with humans

TRAINING: Housebroken, leash trained, crate trained, knows basic obedience and how to use a dog door

SPECIAL NEEDS: Drax was one of 27 Corsos surrendered by a breeder to rescue in February 2024. Although he generally gets along well with other dogs, Drax is insecure and gets jealous when other pets try to get attention from the humans. This can sometimes lead to fights. Drax’s perfect home would be with a highly experienced Corso owner that could help him work through his issues, but he would also be perfectly happy as the only pet.

VETTING: Fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchipped. Adopter will be required to neuter within 6 months of adoption.

Our dogs are available for adoption nationwide but preference is given to adopters willing to do an in-person meeting. Please understand that our dogs are not adopted on a first-come, first-served basis, but rather we strive for a "perfect placement" so we know that they will not be failed again.
