Are you the shy, quiet type? Maybe a little socially awkward and shy around new people? Are you looking for companions that can totally relate to you? Sensitive and sweet, Shiloh and Spike are a stunning pair of three-year-old dilute calicos who speak your language. Shy but sweet, Spike enjoys getting pets and will purr when receiving soft scratches on her head. Playing with spring toys and chasing feather toys are becoming favourite things for Spike to do! She also loves to play in the cat tunnel. Spike is ok if you pick her up for short periods and will sit on your lap, even if she doesn’t stick around for too long. Spike loves to spend lots of time in the cat tree, high above the ground, watching the world go by outside. She will come for pets in your bed in the morning and will sometimes sleep at the foot of your bed. Shiloh is the shyer of the two sisters, but once you gain her trust, she will love and cherish your company. Shiloh loves a comfy bed, a cozy blanket or a cat tree hidey-hole to burrow in. Shiloh enjoys having her head and chin scratched, and will tilt her head to tell you exactly where to scratch. Her preference is to receive her scratches in the comfort of her cat tree, purring when you reach the right spots. With enough trust Shiloh will start getting closer to your legs, eventually making her way onto your lap to make some biscuits, but on her own terms. Shiloh also enjoys the cat tunnel and chasing toys, especially if she thinks there isn’t a human attached to the toy. The water fountain also makes a great toy! Shiloh is not a fan of being picked up and prefers to keep her feet on the ground, but will likes to stay close to her human while they work. Churu treats are favourites for both girls! Shiloh and Spike can be a little shy when they meet new people (aren't we all!), but once they are comfortable, they will show you how sweet and gentle they are. Their ideal home will be quiet and patient, with cozy spots to curl up.
Spike and Shiloh originally came to us as strays. They were adopted, but unfortunately, due to no fault of their own, they were returned to us due to illness in the family. Adopted again, they were returned when her new family felt they didn’t have time for them.
While it will take time and patience for Spike & Shiloh to build trust and confidence in their new home and with their new owners, watching them blossom will be incredibly rewarding. The first time they start to interact with you by receiving pets or jumping on your lap will be so gratifying and worth the wait. These girls just need a break and finally a home where they will be loved for who they are. Perhaps you can relate to them?
