Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Are you the shy, quiet type? Maybe a little socially awkward and shy around new people? Are you looking for companions that can totally relate to you? Sensitive and sweet, Spike and Shiloh are a stunning pair of three-year-old dilute calicos who speak your language. Shy but sweet, Spike enjoys getting pets and will purr when receiving soft scratches on her head. Playing with spring toys is becoming a favourite thing for Spike to do! Spike is ok if you pick her up for short periods and will sit on your lap, even if she doesn’t stick around for too long. Spike loves to spend lots of time in the cat tree, high above the ground, watching the world go by outside. Shiloh loves a comfy bed, a cozy blanket or a cat tree hidey-hole to burrow in. Shiloh enjoys having her head and chin scratched, and will tilt her head to tell you exactly where to scratch. Her preference is to receive her scratches in the comfort of her cat tree, purring when you reach the right spots. Shiloh is not a fan of being picked up and prefers to keep her feet on the ground. Churu treats are favourites for both girls! Shiloh and Spike can be a little shy when they meet new people (aren't we all!), but once they are comfortable, they will show you how sweet and gentle they are. Their ideal home will be quiet and patient, with cozy spots to curl up. Shiloh and Spike are bonded and MUST be adopted together.
Spike and Shiloh originally came to us as strays. They were adopted, but unfortunately, due to no fault of their own, they were returned to us due to illness in the family.
While it will take time and patience for Spike & Shiloh to build trust and confidence in their new home and with their new owners, watching them blossom will be incredibly rewarding. The first time they start to interact with you by receiving pets or jumping on your lap will be so gratifying and worth the wait. Perhaps you can relate to them?

More about this rescue
Home at Last Rescue (HALR) is a Registered Canadian Charity, that is 100% volunteer driven. Our goal is to rescue cats from substandard living conditions and give them the loving homes they deserve.
We provide medical care, emotional support and a loving environment while preparing them to find their forever homes. With no physical location, all of our cats and kittens reside in loving foster homes across the Greater Toronto Area until they are ready for adoption.
We receive no government funding and rely solely on adoption fees, donations and our fundraising efforts to support our initiatives. We believe there is a home for every cat and a cat for every home.
