My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

FERN

Available for Adoption or Foster

Hi there! I'm Fern, and I've been waiting for over a year at C.A.R.E. to find my forever home. Could you be the one I've been looking for? I'll be honest with you - my life hasn't always been easy. I was found as a stray, and when I first came to the shelter, I had some challenges to overcome. But you know what? The amazing staff and volunteers at C.A.R.E. never gave up on me. They showered me with love, patience, and support, and now I'm proud to say I'm a total lap dog with my trusted humans!

I'm a complex girl with a heart of gold. I prefer to be the star of the show, so I'm looking for a home where I can be the only pet. And if you have a yard, that would be just perfect for me to sunbathe and play. One of my favorite things to do is sit on the bus bench with my human and watch the world go by. It's so fascinating to see all the people and cars zip past! I'm also a big fan of car rides - feeling the wind in my fur is the best! Mind if we stop for a pup cup?

Now, I'll admit I can be a bit shy at first. It takes me a while to warm up to new people, but please don't let that discourage you. Once I trust you, I'm your loyal companion for life. I'll stick by your side through thick and thin! Did I mention I'm super smart? I love playing with toys and figuring out new puzzles. And if you work from home, I'm the perfect office buddy. I'll happily sit on a chair next to you, keeping you company while you type away.

So, what do you say? Are you ready for a devoted, intelligent, and loving companion? I promise to fill your days with cuddles, playtime, and unwavering loyalty. Come meet me at C.A.R.E., and let's see if we're a perfect match!

I have been spayed and microchipped and have had a full veterinary checkup and vaccines. My adoption fee is $325. For more information or if you would like to meet me, please fill out a foster survey at carenorthshore.org/dog-foster-survey

Love and licks,

Fern

Our modest adoption fees do not cover the procedures and vet work that we provide the animals. We fundraise to make up the difference.
