My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Quail is a tiny grey tabby girl who weighs only about 4-5 lbs and is 7 months old. She came to Healing Hearts from Cheatham County Animal Control, along with her sister, Hen, and her friends/relatives: Chuck, Bill, Pinecone and Margie. She is FIV positive and has deformed teeth due to being born in an inbred outdoor cat colony. Quail is spayed, fully vaccinated, dewormed and on flea prevention. She would love to be adopted with her twin sister, Hen. Quail is good with other cats and calm dogs. She is also ok with very gentle older children. She is able to eat both dry and canned food on her own with no issues. Her adoption fee is just $50 due to her special needs. If you are interested in adopting Quail, please complete the online adoption application. You can also text (615) 290-2454. No phone calls please!

FIV is not a big deal. It is not contagious to other cats and she can live just as long as any other cat. Her teeth may need extracting when she is older but are not an issue right now.

Go meet their pets

By appointment only. Email or text to schedule. We only have appointment availability on Saturday or Sunday in foster homes. We do have cats available at the Madison PetSmart every day. We are a foster home based rescue so all of our cats are not at the same location. This is why we need to know which cat you are interested in.
