My name is Captain!

I am Captain, a 4-year-old, 70 lb Lab-Border Collie mix on a mission to find that special place to call home with some special people who are looking for a new best friend. I am crate and potty trained, and fully vaccinated. In me, you will find a dog who's excellent at following basic commands like sit, down, shake, back up, wait, come and quiet. I am an amazing snuggle buddy, too, fond of treats, toys, snuggles and praise. And, if you welcome me into your life, you'll never be lonely. While I have enough energy to walk, run and hike with you, I am also calm enough to be your favorite couch companion and to be left on my own around the house. Like many humans, I can be shy at first around new people - especially excited kids. Once I get to know you, though, I am loyal, respectful and goofy. I get along well with other dogs, though a child-, cat- and chicken-free home would be best. I am great at walking on a leash. I am very curious about the world and would like someone to enjoy it with.

With an adoption fee generously sponsored by Bench Chiropractic, I am ready to report for duty as a new best friend for that special someone who is patient and who can offer consistency and understanding that all good dogs deserve.
