My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gorgeous Greta is a 2 yr old German Shepherd mix girl who is good with dogs, cats, and kids of all ages.

Greta is highly intelligent, and extremely affectionate big baby, who is also very obedient, housebroken, and easily trainable. She loves car rides and is very smart passenger.

Greta loves humans and will snuggle with them at any given chance. She lives with 11 dogs and 4 cats, and does well with both. Her foster parents love her and think she will make an amazing companion.

Greta rode out Hurricane Beryl like a champ, with no anxiety.

She loves bellyrubs, and cuddles. She has zoomies every now and then, because she gets so happy when her foster parents come home from work.

She is still very young, and can sometimes be bossy around her foster siblings, but shepherd girls are usually quite alpha. German shepherd experience is mandatory to adopt our GSDs.

Greta is 2 yo, currently weighs 72 lbs, fully vaccinated, spayed, microchipped. and heartworm negative. She is kept on heartworm and flea preventative.

She is being fostered in Texas, but can travel to many states and even Canada.

To meet this adorable pup, please send a completed application via www.savesomesouls.com

Yards must be fully and adequately fenced, to be considered for our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences.

More about this rescue

Our animal rescue section has been organized with very compassionate and dedicated volunteers whose only goal is to save a pet.
Each day hundreds of healthy, adoptable dogs and cats are euthanized in the kill-shelters of America. In Houston itself, we have the largest population of strays and our shelters are full with strays and abandoned animals including those surrendered by their owners because of reasons such as unwillingness to take care of them, pregnancy, divorce, loss of job, loss of home, prison intake, loss of compassion, empathy, you name it. Add to this, are abandoned pets on the side of the street by owners. Our mission is to give these puppies another chance at love and life. If every person will stop buying from breeders and adopt a shelter pet and spay and neuter them, we will be able to eradicate our euthanasia problem.
