My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mocha is a sweet girl who was timid and shaking when she first arrived; however, she quickly acclimated to her foster home once she knew she was in a safe place. Mocha is social and likes to be with her people, children and other pup in the house. She quickly responds to commands and is eager to please. Mocha has learned verbal commands for sit, lay down, “out” (for out of the kitchen) and is working on stay. She waits patiently until meals are served, waiting for “get it” verbal command before eating. Mocha is very smart and quickly learned how to use the doggy door and thus, doesn't have accidents inside the house. She is a lovable dog who enjoys playing with the other pup in the home and loves snuggles, stuffies, and toys. Although Mocha loves to run and is energetic; she is happy to see her people, follows commands and settles down with verbal commands. Mocha walks well on a leash and goes into her crate. She sleeps on her dog bed at night next to her buddy. Her foster parents do not crate Mocha for long periods during the day because she does well in the house while her foster parents are away. Her foster parent says Mocha will make a wonderful addition to a home with kids, a pup, cats and/or person who likes to give pets and cuddles.

*All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kennelled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel*
