My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kodi is looking for his forever home!

WHAT MY FOSTER SAYS: Kodi is a lovable, good boy looking for his forever home! Kodi loves people and enjoys spending every moment with his human. Here's a bit more about Kodi:

Personality: Kodi is a friendly, affectionate dog who is happy as long as he can be with you. His pretty blue/green eyes light up with excitement and anticipation when a treat is in the offering and will work hard to earn it! He loves car rides and takes any opportunity to hop in an open car door. Kodi enjoys walks, sniffing, snoozing, peanut butter, all kinds of treaties, and cuddles. While he may not be a fan of baths, he absolutely loves getting towel-dried afterward. Kodi is a medium-energy dog who's just as happy to relax on the couch with you as he is to go for a long walk or hike. He's adaptable and enjoys both downtime and active adventures.

House Manners: Kodi is respectful of your belongings and doesn't chew on anything he's not supposed to. Foster mom has to sometimes intervene to make sure Kodi gets enough to eat because foster cat brother tries to steal it all and Kodi lets him.

Compatibility: Kodi is great with kids! He is also great with most dogs but may not get along with assertive dogs, especially males, without a slow, proper introduction. As to cats, he has done wonderfully with his confident foster cat brother but is nervous and a bit unpredictable around his less confident cat siblings that hiss at him. He will need a slow, supervised introduction to cats that are nervous or set boundaries with him.

Kodi is ready to find a loving home where he can continue to thrive. If you're looking for a loyal, gentle, and sweet dog who can enjoy both relaxation and active fun, Kodi is the one for you!

More about this rescue

Laila's Legacy missions is to ensure every homeless dog - including those with behavioral or physical challenges - that comes through our doors has a chance at a better life while educating the public on breed bias, individualistic training, and the importance of spay-neuter to lower the impact of returned and abandoned animals in shelters.
