INDOOR ONLY HOMES
Peabody and Peighton are the rare owner surrendered rabbits that the rescue accepts. They were neglected living on a patio. They were surrendered April 12, 2024.
Peabody was neutered on April 22, 2024. Peighton will be spayed on April 28, 2024.
Peabody is the friendlier of the two. They are bonded but living side-by-side here at the rescue for now to prevent babies.
These two should start out living in an exercise pen (x-pen) otherwise known as a puppy pen. They can have that as their home base or transition to a room or a section of a room or free roaming. A cage/hutch is not recommended unless the door is open and an x-pen can be placed around it.
Please be over 21 if inquiring about a rabbit.
These two can be seen by appointment in Lake Elsinore after a questionnaire is completed or a phone consultation conducted. On adoption day, plan to spend approximately one hour at the rescue going over paperwork and general rabbit care information. Delivery is available up to 100 miles from Lake Elsinore.
PLEASE consult with the rescue before you purchase rabbit supplies so you can be directed to the least expensive and most appropriate rabbit essentials, especially if you’ve never had the pleasure of owning a rabbit! Your local big chain pet store is probably NOT the best place to buy rabbit supplies!
If you are seeking a rabbit as a companion for your existing rabbit, your rabbit should be spayed/neutered. Male/female bondings are usually recommended. See the following link for more information: https://rabbit.org/care/bonding/
