Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
She is going to be 6 years old Aug. 3.
She is a very sweet dog. Although, she is a nervous dog too. She tends
to be extremely nervous when she meets someone new. Once she
gets used to the person she is fine. She always warms up to people that
come to feed her while we are away once she figures out they are giving
her food.
She is nervous around other dogs too until she gets used to them because
she has always been in a fenced in yard by herself. However, she loved to
play at the fence with our neighbors dogs at our old house.
She does bark. This is what bassets do. We had a bark collar that
worked with her at our other house. When we moved and had to the baby she was
extremely unhappy and it would not work with her any longer.
We are having to find a new home for her b/c our neighbors called the
police on us for her barking (works night shift). We are having to leave
her in the garage all day while we are at work and it is sad for her b/c
she likes to be outside. She weighed 55 lbs at her last visit to the vet in Dec. for shots. She is
healthy and fixed. We have had her since she was 6 weeks old.
She is crate trained. She can stay in her crate without accidents for
about 8 hours. She slept in her crate in our house at the old house. She
comes in and sleeps in the crate every night now in our basement.
We will give her to a good home. If anyone chooses to take her they may
have her house (which is a nice kennel that is made of wood and the
slanted roof opens). They can also take her pillows, leash, HeartGuard and flea
treatments, and crate (cage).
It makes me sad to think of giving her away. However with our new neighbors
we feel we have been left with no other choice. We do love her and want a
good home for her. If anyone is interested or has any questions they may
call us at 423-230-5963.
