This is Lily. Thinks coming in hot is the only real way to come in.
You might not guess this Husky girl is 9 years old and if we hadn't just said that, she'd leave you guessing. Lily knows how to turn her young girl energy on in the play yard with zoomies and then dials it back to that sweet sweet middle-age as she loose leash walks politely next to you out in the world.
She's a more petite Husky, only about 40 pounds, with a beautiful coat and a twinkle in her eye. Like most dogs of her breed she is a real smarty pants and knows sit, down, and stay. She also knows she doesn't have to do any of those things, because #smartdogproblems. But a real good treat is all it takes to make anything worth her while.
Lily seems to enjoy all the people she meets -- and she has a history of living well with older children. She likes riding in the car and is reported to be a passenger princess (good car manners). There are even rumors that she's housetrained and has mastered certain house rules, like staying off furniture and sleeping through the night without issue.
Here at the shelter, she enjoys playgroup with other dogs, especially the rowdy types and doesn't mind meeting them on-leash either! Lily will be a super great dog for someone looking to frequent the dog-friendly brewery/restaurant patios, the beach, hiking trails, or just go boppin' around town.
Cats, birds, or other small animal are probably best left out of her life for their own good. Sorry, Lilly, your request was lovingly denied. If you would like to come and meet this gorgeous gal, feel free to call our adoptions desk or stop by during Browsing Hours: Wed-Sun 11-5!
