My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rosie sounds absolutely delightful! Her sweet nature and adorable demeanor make her the perfect furry companion for anyone looking for unconditional love and affection. With her beautiful coat, she's not only a joy to have around but also a stunning addition to any family. Being house-broken and able to sit on command showcases her intelligence and willingness to please. It's clear that Rosie would flourish in a home where she's showered with individual attention, highlighting her importance in her new family's life. A spacious yard for her to explore and play or an active family that enjoys regular walks would indeed be ideal for her, ensuring she gets the exercise and stimulation she needs to be happy and healthy. Rosie's perfect forever home sounds like one filled with love, activity, and plenty of cuddles, where she can thrive and spread her joy to everyone around her.

Rosies' adoption price is $50. It includes her spay, microchip, vaccinations, deworming, and starting her on heartworm prevention and flea/tick control. She has tested heartworm negative.

More about this shelter

Concern over a large, and ever increasing, population of homeless dogs and cats, instigated the opening of the Monroe County Animal Shelter.
A not-for-profit organization, Monroe County Friends of Animals help the shelter by providing volunteers, fundraising events, grant writing and more. There is always a need for more volunteers. With a small budget, donations are a welcome necessity. We have developed educational programs to promote spay/neuter and humane care of all animals.
