This handsome boy is Pawl. He needs a BREAK! Maybe that special person is listening today!!! He came to the HSYC as a stray so we are learning all we can about his nature. We estimate his age to be around 3.5 years old. Pawl is coming along nicely. He’s adjusting to the rescue life but would so prefer to be in a home he can call his own. As we do with all our furfriends, Pawl is neutered, micro chipped, vaccinate and tested. Often as strays they test positive for FIV. Pawl tested positive. FIV(Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) which is a virus that just simply lowers the number of white blood cells in a cat's body. FIV+ cats can enjoy a normal, long lifespan with no apparent health issues from the virus. FIV can only be transmitted from cat to cat, it is NOT contagious to people or other animals. This means he can be in a home with other cats but passive behavior cats preferred or a home where he gets ALL the attention! If Pawl grabs your heart, please don’t let him spend one more day at the Rescue, call today to make an appointment 803-802-0902. Remember: o Everyone in the household must come to the appointment. Transition time for our FURfriends may vary. Give them the time they need to adjust. You won’t regret it.If you wish to meet me, please call the Humane Society of York County at (803)-802-0902 to schedule an appointment.
