My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I’m Butler, a spunky labrador retriever mix with a ton of personality. I’m sweet, funny and full of life!

I came to the Humane Society of York County as an owner-surrender. I’m about 40 pounds and have typical young-guy exuberance – my estimated birth date is June 2023.

I’m working on managing my energy, and because of that, I’m probably not a good fit for a home with small children. I’m good with other dogs that match my size and energy level.

I’m growing up in the rescue and need to find my forever home and family! I’m smart and I learn quickly, and I’ve taken training classes at Zoom Room in Fort Mill.

I love my playtime and my walks. It’s important for me to have an outlet for my energy, so an active forever home would be ideal.

I would do wonderfully with a dog-savvy family that will continue my training! If you wish to meet me, please call the Humane Society of York County at (803)-802-0902 to schedule an appointment.
