My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I’m Buchanan, a handsome brown and white terrier mix and a chill fellow who loves everyone I meet.

I came to the Humane Society of York County as a stray in rough shape, and I fought and defeated heartworms. My estimated birth date is July 2020, and I’m about 60 pounds.

I’m still a youngster at heart, full of energy. I enjoy the company of other dogs, and I love my humans too!

I’ve been out several times to community events to represent HSYC – I loved joining my other dog friends at the Riverwalk and meeting new people. I’m an excellent car rider and a great walking companion.

Fun fact: I’m well-known at the rescue for loving to carry around a stuffie toy.

We require an application be filled out on site ONLY! The cost to adopt is $200 for dogs and $100 for cats, second cat $50.
