Meet our pretty lady cat named Whisper! Whisper is about 3 years old and she came to our shelter after she was abandoned in an apartment, left behind during an eviction. Whisper came to us with another female cat named Luna, who is also available for adoption. Whisper is a friendly girl who does enjoy being pet and getting attention, but she is not in your face about it. She can be independent and hang out on her own without any issues. Whisper likes catnip and will roll around on the floor in it. She is a nice girl who is looking for her forever family!
Whisper did live with other cats and hasn't been aggressive towards other cats at the shelter. We don't think she will be cuddle buddies with another cat, but she can easily coexist with another cat in the home. She may also be fine with a cat savvy, easy going dog. Whisper and Luna can be adopted together or separately. They can go to homes with children 10 years old and older.

Meriden Animal Control IS OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK (M-F 8-4pm) (Sat-Sun 10-4pm) Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. Appts to meet dogs can made to suit your schedule, please email/call for an appt. We do prefer to be contacted by email for adoption inquiries at Adopt@savingpawsct.org. You must be 21 years of age to adopt with valid ID. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal.

An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments.

ALL ANIMALS ARE SPAYED AND NEUTERED BEFORE THEY GO HOME.
