My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet, gentle, calm, timid, independent

Hello, my name is Bubbles. My human calls me Garfield because I am a sassy little orange kitty, but I am a very sweet cat once you get to know me. But you should know that I am jnot a very touchy cat. I will come over by you and sit, but I don't need cuddles or pets. I will be there for emotional support. I love lying on soft blankets, and I really enjoy toys that have bells in them. I love my sister, Cleo, a lot. I do get scared sometimes when it's too loud or there’s too much movement next to me. I am very scared of loud noises, but if I know where they are coming from, I am okay.  I love to hide, not because I am scared but because I like to be in small places. If I lick my lips it means I am nervous, but once I spend more time with you I will feel safe. I also love catnip just like my sister, but I usually just fall asleep and purr while I watch my sister play with Grace, our human. When I am around my sister, I will feel more comfortable and am more playful. I am looking for a compasionated human that understands timid cats and gives me the time to come out of my shell. I promise unconditional love for the rest of my life. Contact my foster human at Adoptablecatshouston@gmail.com to learn how to adopt me.

More about this rescue

Adoptable Cats Houston is a non-profit organization committed to finding permanent homes for cats and kittens. Our cats were homeless strays or abandoned cats that were living in a colony that we manage. They live in foster homes where they are nurtured and receive the medical care they need. Our cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and tested for FIV and FeLV prior to being adopted into responsible, stable, loving forever homes.

We are a team of cat lovers that volunteer to make a difference to the stray cats that cross our path.
