Kylo is a 3-year-old bundle of joy who is more than ready to find his forever home! This special dog has had quite the journey-moving between homes, fosters, and even underwent heartworm treatment. But now, Kylo is healthy, happy, and eager to settle down with his perfect family.

Kylo is a playful and affectionate pup who thrives on being with his people. He absolutely loves to play fetch and will keep you entertained for hours! He's potty-trained, crate-trained, and knows his way around indoor toys-chew toys and giggle balls are his absolute favorites.

This social butterfly does great with kids and would love a home with another playful dog and a fenced yard where he can burn off energy. He also enjoys leisurely walks and taking in all the wonderful smells along the way.

Adopt-A-Pet Events in the Kansas City Area

Cat adoptions are held at the PetSmart at 115th and Metcalf in Overland Park KS every Saturday from 12:00 to 3:00. Cats available for adoption every day at PetSmart in-store cage area.

Dog adoptions are held at the PetSmart in Olathe KS at 119th and Strang Line, every Saturday from 12:00 to 3:00.

Dog adoptions are held at the PetSmart in Lee's Summit MO at 920 NE Sam Walton Lane, also every Saturday from 12:00 and 3:00.

The Heart of America Humane Society is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 non-profit organization helping to place shelter and foster animals into permanent homes in and around the greater Kansas City metro area.

Our goal is to save and improve the lives of Kansas City's homeless companion animals by promoting responsible pet ownership. The Heart of America Humane Society (HAHS) partners with the Lee's Summit Animal Shelter (Lee's Summit MO) and KCK Animal Services (Kansas City KS) to increase pet adoptions into responsible, permanent homes.

Background
Our organization does not have a permanent facility or paid staff, so many of our adoptions take place at PetSmart stores and occasionally through other event venues. Some events raise awareness and bring in donations for our animal support efforts, while others help acknowledge and show appreciation for our own volunteers (who perform all duties outside of their regular jobs).
