My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is shadow, your ultimate independent house cat. She’ll sometimes meet you at the door, but for the most she likes to chill in her own company. Will lay up on the couch or nearby your desk, in an area she can keep her eye on you from a distance. She’ll come around sometimes and ask to be pet, but only when she’s in the mood. She’s vocal and will easily let you know when she’s hungry. She doesn’t really like closed doors, she’s learned how to open doors with certain handles. She can tolerate and coexist with other cats, but will still mainly keep to herself. So long as she has a window to look out of and a cushion to sleep on she’s not picky. Every once in a while she catches the zoomies and puts on a free show, it’s quite entertaining. If you’re looking for a nonchalant princess, shadows your girl!

More about this rescue

Puppy Kitty NYC was founded in the Fall of 2014. As of July 2018, we are an official 501(c)(3) organization. We focus on three aspects: First, finding homes for abandoned or friendly street cats and kittens. Secondly, attempting to control animal overpopulation by spaying and neutering feral cats and helping the sick and injured. Thirdly, fostering is a must.
