My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Vision (black/white, 8 months) and Captain America (tabby/white, 10 months) are an unintentional pairing -- they met in foster and quickly became fast friends. They adore wrestling and chasing each other to work out their kitten energy and haven't met a toy that they don't like. Both boys are extremely social and love people - strangers and guardians alike.

Vision is a delightful and goofy kitten that loves to explore every nook and cranny of his space. He is the perfect right hand man and is known to follow his human around from room to room and provide commentary/cuddles. He has a competitively loud purr you’re sure to hear when he comes to bed in the middle of the night for pats and scratches.

Captain America is the chattier of the two and chirps whenever he is excited. He is extremely curious, and has a favorite toy wand he drags from room to room to sleep with and attack. He absolutely loves daily play time, be it with a scrunchie, ball or his best friend! He has the charming habit of crawling under blankets or sleeping between his human's legs at night.

Their affection, curiosity, and playful energy promise to fill your home with laughter and love!

More about this rescue

Our rescue group was formed in December 2007, but all our Board Members have had extensive experience rescuing and working with abandoned animals. We often work with other rescue organizations to find appropriate and safe foster and adoptive homes for our pet clients. We regularly go to areas with abandoned animals and collect them. The animals are taken to a licensed veterinarian examined, treated and spayed or neutered. Every effort is made to work with the animal and our foster and adoptive families to find a suitable forever home.

For those animals who are truly wild and feral, we release the animal in a safe and secure location after it has recovered from its medical treatment. We also work with certified wildlife rehabilitators to rescue injured and orphaned wildlife. Our organization is focused on improving the welfare of the abandoned animals in need of help in Brooklyn. In furthering that goal, our resources are focused on the animals.

Aside from a few minimal overhead costs such as our website and phone services, our entire budget is spent on animal care such as medical and food costs.
