Ruby Lynn
Hello! I’m Ruby Lynn, a 2 year old Great Dane. I’m a tall girl (weigh about 100 pounds) - yeah, I know maybe that should go without saying! I have a medium amount of energy and like to goof around when I play. I also enjoy my beauty sleep.
When I meet new people, I take a while to warm up, so when I come over I’ll need some time to adjust. Once I feel comfortable, I’m all snuggles with my humans and like to lean on them. I love my people! You should know though that I’d do best with older kids like teenagers. I get along well with dogs and cats. I even try to get the kitties to play with me (imagine how cute that is!). Sometimes if other animals get too close to my food or I’m taken by surprise, I might get testy and give a warning to stay away.
My foster human says I behave nicely, walk well on a leash, and am house trained. I’m crate trained too - it’s my safe space. I’m still working on learning not to jump. I tend to forget that I'm a giant, so I’ll need more training with that. Previously, I had some eye problems (that’s why my owner gave me up) so I had eyelid surgery. Now I’m all better and can see well!
She will require continual eye checks, and there is a possibility of her needing cataract surgery later in life. We want her future family to be aware of this potential financial invested that could be needed.
Would you like to meet me and give me love?
