For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
Introducing Tux! She is 1 1/2 years old. Tux can be a quiet wall flower at times, but with her gentle demeanor and subtle charm, she has managed to win over the hearts of every cat and human that's really gotten to know her. Tux enjoys spending the majority of her time lounging, and ideally being petted, but she definitely has a playful side too. She loves catnip mice and the feather wand toys, and she will engage very happily with interactive games. She gets a bit overwhelmed by the other cats and tends to stay on the sidelines, but given the opportunity she loves to be involved.
She is super gentle and has a lovely purr. She appreciates snuggling up and being pet, and once she is comfortable she will curl up in your lap. Tux has been spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and vaccinated, ensuring she's in excellent health for her new family. Think Tux could be the one for you?
Tux is currently at the Best Friends Lifesaving Center located at 307 W Broadway in Soho. She is available to meet you in person 7 days a week from 11am-7pm (with last adoptions done at 6:30pm). If you are not sure if you're quite ready to adopt but are interested in Tux, because of her long stay here, she is also eligible for our two-week adoption trial period. This means you can take her home and see if she's the right fit for you and your family first. We'll provide all the support you need during the trial to ensure a smooth transition. Please contact fosternyc@bestfriends.org for any questions or to learn more about the trial adoption process!
*Please note we do not hold animals for adoption*
