Up for adoption in Texas: the gorgeous and handsome Rufus.

Rufus is about a year old and currently weighs 60 pounds. However, after he gains some more weight and fills out, he will likely be about 80 pounds.

Rufus Earl is just a good ole boy. His foster mom tells us that even though he is about a year old and still has many puppy traits, calm and gentle are the first two words to describe him. He loves to be wherever people are and also enjoys being outside. He likes to swim if the weather is hot. He loves to lean on his person, so any kiddo will need to be a little older and solid on their feet.

He's been great with the other dogs and cats in his foster home, too! He gets along with everyone.

Although extremely well-behaved, he loves to chew—on anything. Shoes are his first choice and Crocs are his favorite flavor. He knows the word "no" and will stop immediately when caught in the act.

He will go in a crate but prefers to sleep on his dog bed. He stays in a bedroom when his foster mom is not at home. He is a little shy and scared about getting in a car, but trips to Home Depot and the pet store have helped his confidence.
