My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Benji is a 6 month old, 10 pound male ShihTzu/Maltese mix. He loves everyone: humans and dogs! He loves playing with his 30lb foster cousin that visits.

He is mostly house trained but needs reminders. He’s crate trained & sleeps quietly at night. Still being a young pup, he needs a family willing to devote the time & energy to his training. A fenced yard is a plus. Don’t forget, he will need regular visits to the groomer.

His adoption fee is $550, which includes his neuter, vaccines, heartworm test (he is negative & on heartworm, flea & tick prevention) & microchip.

He is fostered in the suburbs of Chicago & we serve that area & Northwest Indiana. We do not ship dogs. To meet Benji, please visit www.heathersfosterdogs.org to fill out an application, & it will be forwarded to his foster mom to set up a meet & greet.
