Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Smoky & Truman have been growing up in the shelter for FAR too long. These two are the last of 11 pups that were found dumped in a box at Kellogg lake and are still looking for their forever homes. They have been here for over 287 days now. Puppies should NEVER have to grow up in a shelter! They need families that can show them how amazing and beautiful life can be outside these shelter walls. It's beyond heartbreaking that all they know is the busy, loud, stressful shelter environment. They deserve so much more than this.
Please don’t let them continue to grow up here. If you can provide a loving home for either of these two, please come meet these sweethearts. They are such lovable, sweet and very smart boys.

If you have personal dogs at home, we do require a meet and greet with the shelter pet and your dogs.

Submit Application

We have an online application on our website, or a paper form at the shelter.

Additional adoption info

The first step in the adoption process is to come to the shelter to meet the pet in person. We will have you fill out a questionnaire to confirm the pet is a good fit for your family. If you are selected, there is an adoption contract and adoption fee we will have you complete. Please bring your Driver's License or other photo ID to complete the adoption process.

As required by Missouri State Law Section 273.403, all dogs and cats are required to be spayed/neutered before the adoption can be finalized.
