Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Luis
Luis. Mexi Mutt/ JACK RUSSELL/Aussie Mix - 15 lbs - Male
Luis, and his siblings Lalo, Lili, Lula and Lolo are 4 month old Jack russel/Aussie mix puppies who came to us from Tuito area. Momma dog was wandering looking for food and happened upon a kind family who fed her. Next day, Momma dog arrived back with all 5 of her puppies. Smart Momma dog !!
These siblings are sweet, playful little things that have now escaped from whatever horrors they would have experienced in their lives as street dogs. They will grow into awesome companion dogs and we anticipate that they will make exemplary family pets.
Luis is a handsome guy who is playful, chillax and lovable. He is ultra-affectionate and loves to spend time with people. Little Luis is very food motivated and we expect he will excel at continued future training. An ideal home may include another calm-ish pup who can keep him company and a family who will cherish and adore him.
Luis is very easy going and likes other dogs, cats and all people (especially people with yummy treats!). His foster family says that he is just a very nice little boy…period. He bonds very quickly and follows direction very well. Although re-call is a work in progress, he really does everything he can to please. Luis and his sibs are ready to make their debut into adoption and are looking for a fur-ever home.
We are a registered non profit society. All our dogs are vaccinated, sterilized and are fostered in homes with families.
NOBARS believes that a dog is best assessed for a new home environment by living in one!!!! Therefore we do not use kennels, but have a network of approved foster homes where our dogs can be properly assessed before being offered for rehoming. Our foster homes offer a varied range of experiences which means we can choose an appropriate foster home for each dog, but it also means our dogs are able to experience situations which are invaluable to owners looking to take on a new forever friend, such as children, cats and other dogs.

Part of our responsibility as members of Rescue Society is to ensure dogs and cats find their forever families. We want to ensure that the animal you wish to adopt is well suited for you, your home, and lifestyle and we are looking for the best possible conditions for each furry friend. To that end we require the following prior to adoption.
Adoption process – An Adoption Application Form must be filled out and a phone interview must be completed. A meet and greet will be set up to so that the potential adoptive family can meet the pet(s) they are interested in. We also complete a home inspection prior to the adoption and we also complete a small education session that covers many areas of being a responsible pet guardian.
We will require proof of home ownership or copy of lease or rental agreement along with landlord permission to have an animal companion. If applicable, copies of the condominium by-laws to assure animals are allowed in the complex.
Applicants will be required to sign our contract agreement.
All animals are spayed or neutered and have all vaccinations.
We will recommend applicants sign up for obedience classes when adopting dogs.

More about this rescue
No Borders Animal Rescue Society (NOBARS) is a small no-kill rescue group operated out of Alberta. We are a 100% not for profit society and is volunteer run. We have foster homes all over Alberta.
Dogs are fostered by volunteers until their forever homes are found. While in foster care the animals receive full vet care in both Canada and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico where the transport originates. All animals adopted out by NOBARS are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, and dewormed.
We work with rescue groups in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, as well, we work closely with several local rescue groups in Alberta. We will transport small and larger breed dogs then place the dogs in foster homes until a forever family is found.
