My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Alvin was a stray who was just so darn sweet and affectionate we couldn't believe nobody claimed him.
He is very outgoing and friendly. He loves everyone.
Alvin is FIV+
Positive and negative cats can coexist very happily and safely!
That being said, Alvin plays pretty rough and tumble. He's very active. A very docile cat may be intimidated. He would be purrfect in a home with a doggie friend or another FIV positive cat.

Come meet Alvin at Petsmart Gbg. Saturdays from 11-2pm

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process :
We usually DO NOT do same-day adoptions. There may be some exceptions. (such as, if you have adopted from us in the past and your info is on file).
There is an application to adopt. If other animals are in the home, a vet reference check will be done. If you rent, a landlord pet agreement form will be required.
Adoption fee is $125. (Two kittens adopted together is $200) Some animals who are with us for a longer period of time, or who are seniors may have a reduced adoption fee. This will include 4 distempers, rabies, spay or neuter, leukemia test, 2-3 wormings, and flea treatment (if needed).
All adoptive homes must be INDOOR only and adopter must sign a contract NOT to de-claw.
SOS reserves the right to refuse adoption to any person we feel is not in the best interest of the kitten/cat.
Dog/puppy adoption fees will vary.
There is a third page to our application for K9 adoptions.

Go meet their pets

Adoption inquiries are by e-mail only. You may leave your phone number or email for a response. We are all volunteers, and have other full-time jobs, so please be patient. We WILL get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you. If you are approved for an adoption, or would like to meet a kitten/cat, an appointment will be set up. At this time, we have our available cats and kittens at various adoption events. WE ARE AT THE GREENSBURG PETSMART EVERY SATURDAY 11-2 PM. Please check our website under "events" or email us for a schedule of where you can meet your new family member!

More about this rescue

SOS is a very small rescue dealing mostly with abandoned/stray/or unwanted kittens and cats. They receive vet care, vaccines, and are spayed or neutered before being placed into loving indoor-only homes.SOS tries to educate the public on the importance of spaying and neutering their pets. We hope to be able to take in dogs as well in the near future.
