Finn definitely takes a while to warm up and feels the most comfortable when Harley is nearby to show him everything is ok, he loves following Harley around to explore. Once he warms up, he really is a sweetie pie. He is affectionate and enjoys chin scratches and showing off his little fangs. The way to Finn's heart is through treats, if he hears the treat bag opening, he'll appear instantly! He's also very curious, he loves exploring a closet or room when a previously closed door is opened.
Finn is the type of cat to sit back and observe what everyone else is doing before joining in.
Finn really enjoys the simple things, he will get really into chasing a laser pointer. He also really likes the standard mouse toy and will even carry it around by the tail when it's not lost under a cabinet!
These two boys came from a shelter downstate, they were relinquished due to the health issues of the owner before coming to the Chicago Cat Rescue in search of their forever home.
These two are a really special pair and over time Harley has been able to show FInn that he's in a safe space, so we plan to place them in a forever home together.
Finn is positive for FIV. That's the risk we humans impose on cats who are allowed outdoors, or worse, who are abandoned outside altogether. But Finn is grateful for the life he has now, and we're confident that he plans to enjoy it as long as possible! We don't know what the future holds for Finn. Cats who are FeLV-positive can remain asymptomatic for many years. What we do know is that giving a home to a cat like Finn will earn you a place in this wonderful cat's heart. And that's a gift that you'll cherish forever.

CCR adopts to forever homes in Chicago or the very near suburbs that are within 10 miles of our Chicago foster families. We love our cats and we pledge support for the rest of their lives, which is why our location limits are in place. We appreciate your understanding. If you are outside of these limits, please check petfinder.com, which allows searching by zip code, for cats closer to your home.
At Chicago Cat Rescue, we are dedicated to both the physical and emotional well-being of the cats and kittens in our care. For this reason, unless expressly stated, we do not place cats or kittens in homes where they will be the only cat. Generally, cats love the company of other cats, and can become quite lonely when living alone.
Kittens will only be placed in pairs, or to join another kitten or young cat in your home.
Chicago Cat Rescue is an entirely foster-based organization. Our ability to help more cats in need is dependent on our availability of foster homes. If you think you could provide a loving foster situation for a cat in need, or would like to learn more about our foster program, please email us, info@chicagocatrescue.org. Thank you!
