My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sasha, a smart and vibrant adult Terrier mix, flaunting a unique Black/Tri-color coat. At a nimble 37 pounds, she's a perfect blend of energy and manageability. Sasha isn't just a beauty; she's also brilliant, already knowing the 'sit' command and responding impressively to verbal cues, a testament to the Terrier's renowned trainability and keen intelligence. Her quick learning and responsiveness make her an ideal companion for an active owner or family looking for a pet with whom they can interact and train further. Sasha does well with other dogs though would likely prefer a more submissive mate as she thinks she is a great leader and likes to do so. She walks great on a leash and has potty training down too, making her a great dog for folks who would love a pal with some skills already. If you're ready for a spirited and clever canine to add joy and a touch of sass to your days, Sasha is eager to impress and become your new best friend.
*Weekend Host Feedback: "She always greeted us excitedly and with a butt wiggle. Walk is her favorite word and she always knew to go bathroom outside". "Sasha is such a sweet girl!! She was excited and curious about everything but still did a good job listening to commands. Sasha seems housebroken and quickly recognized the potty door after we showed her. She has the cutest way of nudging for affection and is great at cuddles". "Potty trained well! No accidents in the house and is able to let us know if she needs to go outside when asked "Do you want to go on a walk? Super good sleeping in the crate". "She perks up when she sees animals/dogs on TV"!

Additional adoption info

All puppies and dogs at Saving Grace are crate trained, have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on their vaccines, are on heartworm preventative and have been microchipped. Their adoption fee is $350.00. Each has been carefully screened for disposition and temperament in order to provide your home with a safe companion that will enjoy life as your new family member.

If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, please complete an Adoption Application at our website: savinggracenc.org

Sending an Application does not commit you to an adoption, it simply provides us with background information on potential homes. Please review our Adoption Contract before sending an Application to ensure that you will be able to provide the requirements stated in the contract. The Contract must be signed at the time of adoption.

Saving Grace is a small, non-profit 501-C3 organization operated by volunteers only. Most of our animals come from rural animal control shelters where lack of space and resources limit their time and adoption possibilities. Thank you for choosing Saving Grace! We look forward to helping you find your new companion and family member.

More about this rescue

Located in central North Carolina and officially established in 2004, Saving Grace has placed over 15,000 dogs into homes since its inception. These dogs were from rural animal control facilities with little resources and who would otherwise not had the opportunity to receive necessary veterinary care and a chance at adoption. While we have grown significantly over the years and have been successful growing our numbers we still see many great dogs miss the opportunity of adoption.

We have a large variety of dogs varying in breed, size, shape, age and needs and would love to work with you to find you a great dog companion while providing a dog in need with a loving home. Our dogs are chosen based on temperament and socialization. We get some of the most charming, unique mix breeds as well as some striking purebreds. Our dogs come from rural, underserved areas and while they may have little experience as an indoor family member, they have the temperament and personality that is sure to bring much love and appreciation to their new home. Most have started their crate training while in our program. Veterinary care including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test, vaccinations, monthly preventatives are provided prior to each adoption. If you would like more information about adopting one of our dogs, please email savinggrace@savinggracenc.org
