Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Looks like: Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua mix
Male, 9 years old (estimated), 18 pounds
Since landing in a loving foster home, handsome Bobby has been so grateful for a caring and peaceful environment to decompress in and he has really come out of his shell. This super sweet and lovable guy experienced some bullying from other dogs in the shelter, and while he can still get scared occasionally, he walks well on leash and greets new dogs with a quick, polite sniff. He greatly appreciates having his very own pooch support person and quickly and closely bonds with his human companion, but he is also always open to meeting new people. When he is in the mood, he sometimes performs hilarious "sing-alongs" with his foster mom and he very much likes to sleep and snuggle under the covers with her at night. We have not yet had the opportunity to see how he behaves around cats or children, but given his reserved and gentle nature, we assume that he would do just fine.
Bobby is a low-maintenance sweetheart and he would love to find a safe and quiet home with a nice cush bed where he can curl up and just be near you. He will follow you around, making sure that he does not lose track of you. He is fine when home alone now and then, but is also up for coming along on car rides. As time goes by, we expect Bobby to become more and more confident in regards to meeting other dogs. Until then, he would prefer to be the only dog in the home. We can't wait to see him making the best of his second chance in life.
Bobby joined us from Kern County Animal Services.
